Creamy Pork Carnitas Pasta
This meal became a family favorite and I am so excited to share it with you today! We love fresh pork at our house and there is nothing better than crazy tender, melt in your mouth carnitas. I am thrilled to be working with Smithfield this year, and showing you some new recipes with their high quality products.
Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork is my go-to for a delicious, hassle-free dinner. You simply slow cook, grill, roast or saute the pork and its the perfect weeknight meal. In this recipe, I put the Seasoned Carnitas in the slow cooker in the morning and it was ready to go in the pasta by dinner. You can also saute it beforehand because the prep work is already done for you! You are going to fall in love with the flavors of Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork. It is slow-marinated and perfectly seasoned, and available in a variety of mouthwatering flavors including; Roasted Garlic and Cracked Black Pepper, Roasted Golden Rotisserie, Sweet Teriyaki, or Applewood Smoked Bacon. It is available in a variety of cuts including pork roasts, loin filets, chops, ribs, sirloins, and tenderloins, and can be sliced or cubed for faster cooking.
I always have a requirement when I cook pasta for my family. It has to be creamy and delicious and coat the pasta perfectly. In our house, we have to have enough pasta and sauce ratio. I have perfected the creamy sauce recipe and you won’t believe how yummy it is! It has Mexican spices and it is the perfect topping on this pork carnitas and pasta.
How do I make creamy pork carnitas pasta?
You start by preparing your fresh pork. I chose to slow cook the Smithfield Seasoned Carnitas, but you can also saute, grill, or roast Marinated Fresh Pork Products. Once your carnitas is finished, you saute the peppers until tender and remove them and set aside on a plate. You then prepare the creamy sauce and let it simmer until it starts to thicken. Add the pasta and carnitas to the pan and toss until heated. This is also great served with your favorite toppings. Tomatoes, chopped avocado, cilantro, all work great.
