I love orange rolls. I think I almost prefer orange rolls over cinnamon rolls. There is just something about the sweet glaze with a hint of orange in it that I love. These cute little things turned out fantastic! I loved being able to pull apart the little pieces and they were oh so gooey and delicious!

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Proofing time: 45 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Servings: 12 Rolls

Ingredients

Sweet orange Glaze:

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a muffin pan with cooking spray, set aside.
  • Set the frozen rolls out at room temperature unthawed but still cold. Cut each roll with a pizza cutter into about 4-6 smaller pieces each.
  • Mix the 1 cup of sugar and orange zest into a small bowl, rubbing the zest and sugar together with your fingers to release the oils into the sugar, and set aside.
  • Melt the 1/2 cup butter and mix with the Karo syrup.
  • Dip each piece of roll dough in the butter and roll it in the sugar mixture. Place the coated pieces into the muffin tins, filling each one about ½ way.
  • Cover and let the rolls rise until they double in size, about 30-45 minutes. Bake the proofed rolls for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove the baked rolls and let them cool completely.
  • For the sweet orange glaze, mix the powdered sugar, orange zest, 1 tbsp butter, 2 tbsp orange juice, and 1 tsp vanilla together. Drizzle over each of the orange rolls.
